Sean Meehan began his piping career after initially learning the snare drum. After mere months of tutelage on the sticks, Sean quickly came to the realization that chicks dig bagpipers. Though just 13 years old at the time, he swiftly changed gears and made the move to the pipe corps. Alas, just as swiftly, he learned that chicks don't dig bagpipers as much as he'd heard. Unfettered, he maintained a dedication toward perfecting his new craft.

Sean's primary tutelage came at the hands of former Pipe Major, Jim Ryan, Jr. and former band instructors Frank Riggio and Don Goller. He became a stalwart in the pipe ranks throughout the 90s, and was a key figure in the band's competition success throughout the decade. Sean has recently returned to the band after taking time off for school and career, and is once again a full time performer in the pipe ranks. He currently competes in Grade 4 solos and recently place 2nd out of 17 in the 2/4 march competition at the Rockland County Fies.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and an alumni of that esteemed lacrosse program, Sean now lives in New York City with his wife Emily and pet Gila monster, Alonzo.
