His favorite tunes include The Balmoral, Going Home and Itchy Fingers. Mike plays a set of Kintail pipes. His favorite piping moment was making his public debut at the Long Beach St. Patricks parade in 1998, although watching Tom McCarthy chase after his chanter rolling down the street at the Montauk parade is a close second.

Mike lives in Massapequa Park with his wife Kathy and their three children Conor, Ciara and Liam. He is a detective with the New York Police Department. Mike also coaches soccer and enjoys a nice cold pint.
