BAND MEMBER OF THE YEAR - PAST RECIPIENTS

2005 Tim Delaney
Tim has led the drum corps through a significant learning process, providing stability to a corps with many new players. His leadership as Drum Sergeant was a key factor in adding new drumming students to the fold.
2004 Roger Elliott
James Elliott
Roger has picked up the bass drumming duties full time to add some stability to that area of the band, and James has come a very long way in a very short time to become one of the top bagpipers in the band.
2003 Damien Murray
Damien Murray came to the ACPB in 2002, and quickly established himself as one of the group's best bagpipers. Throughout 2003, Damien could be found every Wednesday night playing his pipes before practice, and at every parade right in the front row. Leading by example, his exuberance has begun to rub off on other members of the band.
2002 Brian McCutcheon
After taking over Band Manager duties from Jim Ryan, Sr. in 2002, Brian faced the challenge head on. His efforts provided a virtually seamless transition to this new era in the ACPB. Like Members of the Year before him, Brian rarely missed any band events or practices, and has become a reliable player in the Pipe Corps.
2001 Marty Rowe
Our current Pipe Major, Marty proved in 2001 why he is truly a leader in the group. He showed throughout the year that the performance of the band was a  top priority. His level-headed approach to the contest group's success has helped us establish achievable goals, and his efforts illustrated that which we expected from all members.
2000 Mike Patton
Our youngest band member at the time, Mike was only 12 when he received this honor. He showed rapid growth as a snare drummer in a short time Tthe dedication he exhibited was nearly unmatched in 2000, rarely missing any practice or performance.
1999 Lane Maxson
The first snare drummer to receive this award, Lane has been a driving force in the drum section's development for years. In 1999, he became a stalwart in the drum corps and was the key contributor to that group's growth in both numbers and talent.
1998 Jim Ryan, Sr.
One of the initial members of the band, Jim Ryan, Sr. was honored for the untiring work he put in as Band Manager for over 20 years. His efforts and dedication significantly contributed to the growth of the band in 1998.
1997 Jack and Jan Meehan
Jan and Jack Meehan were acknowledged as co-members of the year for their significant contributions, specifically to the contest group. They generously opened their home to the competition band for Sunday practices virtually every week from January through September.
1996 John Cronin
Our Band President and Drum Major has always been a main contributor to  the success of the band as a whole. John received this award for his many years of service, and his dedication to ensuring band growth and harmony throughout 1996.
1995 Pat Ryan
The initial recipient of this Award, Pat was a key factor in the growth of a young Pipe Corps.
